We are pleased to announce that Beth and Jack Bond have joined us as General Manager and Head Chef. Their style and way of doing things fits in very well with the values and standards we strive for at ‘The Cottage’. Beth and Jack are passionate about sustainable practices and minimising waste.
In the way of background, Beth graduated from Imperial College with a physics degree, but somewhere along the way ‘got the Hospitality bug’! She joined Tredwell’s Restaurant in London as a Commis Chef, where she was inspired by Chef Owner, Chantelle Nicholson. Beth’s talent extends beyond her culinary skills, and under Chantelle’s mentorship, she progressed to General Manager of the new ‘flagship’ restaurant in Mayfair, Apricity.
Jack’s development has been equally impressive. His early career was shaped in London, under the tutelage of Marcus Waring. He has gone on to hone his skills in some of the world’s leading kitchens, including Restaurant Gordon Ramsey, Eleven Madison Park in New York, Claridges and The Berkeley.
As we begin to think about stepping back, we have been overwhelmed with the energy and passion that Beth and Jack have brought to ‘The Cottage’. We know that they will continue to ‘raise the bar’ on what we offer, and the standards we have strived for, during our twenty two years here.
