The kitchen larder is brimming with Spring goodies, and the kitchen guys are out and about foraging for new season flavours. Wild garlic, meadowsweet and eldeflowers are amongst our favourites.
Many of us have a favourite time to visit the Lakes. The Spring is known for the famous daffodils, but there is much more to enjoy; the Rannerdale blue bells for one, and of course our wild life suddenly becomes more prolific. The red squirrels are busy around the place and many species of birds return to the forest (and our feeders, for sure). The Spring brings longer days and more time to enjoy your activities.
Or it may be that you have an interest in some of the events hosted in the area; Keswick Festivals have pretty much everything covered; film, jazz and blues, film. literary and craft. There’s even a wool fest in nearby Cockermouth. Sporting events include a half marathon (the most scenic in the country, it’s said), a mountain festival, fell and trail runs, triathlons and the Fred Whitton road cycling challenge passes by our door.
Alternatively, you just want a quiet few days away in a beautiful location with some great company and wonderful food. Take advantage of our Spring offer to make savings of up to £60.00 on your reservation.
