Like Game of Thrones, we’re getting ready for the Winter

Yes, that’s right, we also need to keep an eye on the horizon and be prepared for the Winter. So, our chefs have been out and about foraging, and brought back these little beauties. They’re green walnuts, picked as they begin to become tender. Rich Collingwood, our head chef plans to pickle them in readiness to garnish some of our Winter dishes, probably some local venison.
We are ready to move into a particularly fruitful period in the foraging calender , especially in our little patch of Heaven up here in the Northern Lakes.
